Bobcaygeon, Ontario

July 20, 2015

We traveled 19.8 NM today and are docked at the top of Lock 32 in Bobcaygeon, Ontario (pronounced “Bob – Cajun”).

Lock 32, along with its swing bridge is the oldest lock and bridge on the Trent-Severn Waterway, over 160 years old.

This small town is known for its Bigley Beach House Store and its Bigley Shoe Store.  The Beach House has more name brand swimsuits than any specialty swimwear store in the DFW area. The shoe store has a selection similar to Nordstrom’s.  Yes, I purchased swimwear but no need for shoes!
