Drummond Island, Michigan

Another perfect travel day as the seas were "...less than one-half meter", winds mild out of the east, and no rain! We traveled 59.9 NM back into the Great U.S.of A.!! We are docked at Drummond Island Yacht Haven on Drummond Island, Michigan.  We were greeted by an awesome Customs Agent and enjoyed chatting with him about our adventures thus far.  He had never heard of the Big Chute Marine Railway Lock nor the Historic Peterborough Lift Lock so we enlightened him.

The water here is as blue as the Florida Gulf Coast!  The weather systems up here are occurring 3 to 4 weeks ahead of schedule, according to many locals we've spoken with along the way this week.  We loved our time in Canada and will miss the great people, incredible scenery, perfect summer temps, 30,000 Islands, and Butter Tarts, (for starters).....but there is NO place greater than the USA! It's great to be back 'home'!

Manitoulin Island Lighthouse

Calm seas all day

Water on the left of our burgee is USA.  Water on the right of our burgee is Canadian.

Amazing waters!

Easy to see we are back on USA waterways!

Celebratory Steak dinner....G-Man was rewarded for his outstanding navigation and safety duties thus far!

Lovely local wine.
