Kimmswick, Missouri (St. Louis, Missouri)

Today we traveled 37.5 NM through two locks on the Mississippi River.  Cruised past the arches in St. Louis.  Locked through with three other Loopers and the American Eagle Riverboat, New Orleans!  We saved a drowning bird, enjoyed a rainbow, and enjoyed the Mighty Mississippi River.  The "most dreaded part of the Great Loop" was not "so dreadful"!  We are docked at Hoppies Marina, Kimmswick, Missouri.

Casino Queen Barge.

Dry docked barge...check out those props!

I love visual aids!

Chain of Rocks Canal.

Drowning bird that is not a water fowl.  Charlie saved him and laid him on our bow to recuperate.

This must be his flock.

He's drying out on G-Man's sod on the bow.

After two hours the bird is drying out and not panting so hard. Once docked at Hoppie's, the bird flew away!!!! Whew, saved him!

Still in the Chain of the Rocks Canal...for several hours waiting to lock through.

We are here.

Garmin shares the love while locking down!

 Gawd it's hot today!

Downtown St. Louis.

St. Louis Ram's Stadium.

Garmin's enjoying the views.
