Ft. Myers, Florida

We traveled 18.8 NM along the Caloosahatchee River to downtown Fort Myers, Florida and are docked at City of Fort Myers Yacht Basin in the center of "The City of Palms"! We were treated to a marina BBQ hosted by the Marina staff! We were excited to see Jack and Patty, aboard Nearly Perfect, at the dockside dinner. We traveled with them along the Trent Severn Waterway in Canada this past summer! They are now Gold Loopers as they had crossed their wake in Mobile, AL. They invited us aboard for after dinner cocktails. It was great hearing of their accomplishment as we now have "Gold Burgee envy"! Loopers, Wally and Darcy, aboard Summertime, were also onboard for cocktails. It was great meeting them.

World's Greatest Dock Master and staff! Matt and Joe (and Kyle, not pictured). We will miss these great guys. They truly are the nicest staff we've met.

Retrieving my crab trap.

Didn't catch any crabs but did catch (and release) a starfish from the crab trap!

Last view of Fort Myers Beach.

Heavy traffic!

Very heavy traffic in a narrow channel!

Floating diner?

...or is it a floating bait store?
