Fulton, Mississippi

We attempted an early morning departure but were delayed again by fog.  Once the fog lifted the day was spectacular, not a cloud in the sky all day!  We traveled down the Tenn-Tom Waterway (Tennessee River - Tombigbee Waterway) 49.7 NM and locked through 3 locks.  One of the locks was the lowest (or highest, depending on your direction of travel), locking us down 84'.  It was also a very rapid and smooth lock down. We were allowed to share the three locks with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers tow named Tenn-Tom.  Basically, we locked down the Tenn-Tom with The Tenn-Tom!  Special thanks to the coyote that posed so nicely for me! We are docked at Midway Marina, Fulton, MS.

"Lil-Dub" misbehaving on the dolphin.

Tenn-Tom Waterway.

Lock doesn't look very impressive when approaching  from the north.

This is the lock looking aft after locking down 84' and exiting.  That's a barge with a crane on it.

Looks like we are in Louisiana.
