Peterborough, Ontario - Day 2

We enjoyed the large farmers market today. This evening, Docktail's was hosted by AGLCA Harbor Host, Dan and Freya.  At least ten Looper Boat's attended. We very much appreciated their hospitality!

Judith Hickman, from Live Aboard Facebook Group, drove in to meet us at Docktails! She enjoyed the outdoor concert with us in Del Crary Park just 40 yards from our boat! It was so nice of her to take time out of her life to come and meet us!  Surely, we will see her again as she winters on her DeFever along the ICW around the Florida area each year! Peterborough is where she grew up and now has returned.  I completely understand why she is back at this beautiful city during the summer. It is a great place!

Peterborough, Ontario

Today we traveled 35.4 NM to Peterborough, Ontario.  We got delayed at Lock 19 Scott Mills, as the Lock Master's had to raise the water level between the locks. It was interesting watching the process.  We met up with fellow Loopers, Abama Dream, Seahorse, and Penny Pinch'in, at this delay.

Weather was cool, in the 60's as light rain moved in. We had to wear sweatshirts and jackets in July!

We enjoyed dinner at Hoshi Restaurant. Amazing Sushi! The chef even gave us each a complimentary lobster hand roll since he overhead me asking about them.

We are docked at Peterborough Marina, Peterborough, Ontario.
