Pensacola, Florida - Day 2

The sun shined bright and the temps were perfect! We enjoyed touring the historic downtown with the Pelican Sculptures and the crochet wrapped tree trunks! The architecture laced with Mardi Gras beads was very reminiscent of New Orleans. This city has grown a lot since my childhood summer vacations here!

We couldn't locate the Air Force sculpture....

Great food truck court.

Loved these colorful bike racks on each city street corner!

The architecture was very reminiscent of New Orleans and the Mardi Gras beads hanging on iron rails were an added bonus!

Hummmm.....Looks like Norfork, VA is short one Mermaid Sculpture on their city streets!

Beautiful sunset on Pensacola Bay, via our aft deck.

Pensacola, Florida

Our weeks spent visiting my awesome family in Lafayette, Louisiana was priceless and difficult to end. But knowing we now have many more opportunities to return made it easier to say "goodbye" for now. What a great layover in Fairhope, Alabama!  Thank you, Ed, Kathy, Bobby, Duel (sp), Kevin, and Mike from Eastern Shore Marina for making us feel like family! What a professional staff with great work ethic along with personal customer service! We truly appreciate what great people you all are, along with your commitment to excellence. We will miss you all!

Today we traveled 61.2 NM to the beautiful Sunshine State of Florida! The sun finally peeked through the clouds at Orange Beach. The pelican's and dolphin's entertained us as they welcomed us across the state line!  We are docked at Palafox Pier Yacht Harbour and Marina, Pensacola, Florida

Loved our time at Eastern Shore Marina

Fairhope is such a beautiful town.

Thank you Eastern Shore Marine for the lovely courtesy car, Mountaineer Van.

Whoa....back on the ICW! Red, right, return?!

We almost bought a Condo here 5 years ago!

Hello again Lulu's, we were here 5 years ago, via our Airplane!  By the way, Lulu is Jimmy Buffet's Sister!

Even Pirate's need their boat serviced.

Thank you sunshine for finally shinning through! And the smell of saltwater makes me very happy!

Some things never change.

Who knew?! You can buy a barge and use it as a dock, simply plant palm trees to create your own floating paradise!

Too cute! I want this for my next dinghy!!

Hello FLORIDA!!

I'm in Heaven! Finally, dolphin's posing for a few pics!!

"Let the good times roll"....even in Florida!

Thank you F-18 s for your service and airshow today!

HELLO, Gulf of Mexico and the white sandy beaches I grew up enjoying!

Pensacola Lighthouse, Charlie, Maria, Cohen, and Carson climbed it a few years back! This is a great view that we didn't have then!
