Kenlake, Kentucky - Day 3 (Kentucky Lake State Park)

We took our dinghy,  Flying Fish, to the courtesy dock at Kentucky Lake State Park and enjoyed a hike. Garmin chased a squirrel off leash and found a Geocache. Charlie found a persimmon tree loaded with fruit and picked a few. The trees are changing colors and the leaves are falling!  We dinked over and explored the peninsula we've had as our view for the past few days.

Geocache in Kentucky. (Check that state off the list!)

Our boat in the distance.

Hope our friend, Scott, notices the two lanyards around my neck!

Kenlake, Kentucky - Day 2

Relaxing day at anchor.....

Beautiful sunrise!

We are "here".

I had to toss my herb garden prior to checking into Custom's while exiting Canada...time to start the next 'crop' before having to toss it once again before entering the Bahama's in a few months. I'm finding it's difficult to buy fresh herbs to plant this time of year.

Evidently, we have "photo-bombed" Green Turtle Bay Resort and Marina's face book page!  (We are boat at top, docking at their fuel dock.) Too funny! Thank you Betsy, aboard Fryedaze for 'liking' their post, which got my attention to look.

G-Man sums up our day at anchor!

Kenlake, Kentucky

Today we traveled 19.4 NM down Kentucky Lake along the Tennessee River.  We are taking our time enjoying the changing of the seasons and the beautiful views. We are anchored at Kenlake (Kentucky Lake) State Park.

Ba-bye Green Turtle Bay....

Cool cave! I didn't spy anything in it.

This area is known for its outstanding fishing...I caught nothing. Surely I'm not doing it correctly!  But I did tie and bait my own hook.

Grand Rivers, Kentucky - Day 8

We were excited that Dan and Angie, aboard Seahorse, crossed their wake today in route to Green Turtle Bay Resort and Marina!  Linda, aboard BamADream so graciously organized a "Gold Looper changing of the Burgee" celebration with all the Loopers here to honor them as they arrived! We were able to join them as they changed their AGLCA Burgee from white to GOLD!!!!  What a great day and I'm so happy to have been, not only able to share a part of our Loop together, but to be here as they celebrate this HUGE accomplishment!! Great people! Top that with the Mac-Daddy Lunar Eclipse! These moments make "Looping" so great!

Grand Rivers, Kentucky - Day 7

I enjoyed  shopping in the quaint downtown of Grand Rivers, KY.  This evening the Commonwealth Yacht Club included the Loopers in their annual Seafood Boil here at Green Turtle Bay Resort and Marina!
